About the blog
We decided to take up a work opportunity in Canada in late 2019 and a few weeks later I received this blog as a Christmas gift. You can guess what happened next. Like everyone, Covid-19 forced us to delay our plans. While we were stuck with few possessions, no where to live and no jobs in the UK I began writing about our experiences. You find out more about our attempts, the failures and how we eventually succeed, to overcome the travel restrictions here.

For now, here are some photographs of us. I was half way through uploading a lovely wedding photo of the three of us when I realised this wasn’t really us. Well it was us, but on our best day. So here is the real us: Jacob in Norway fed up of me taking photos of him, Bally shivering in the Canadian cold and me scoffing a PB hotdog at a lake side campfire.
